Rocket Mortgage Classic @LouisRoss67

I have not found anything quite as jaw dropping as Dustin Johnson starting a PGA Tour event at 28/1 but there’s still a bit of value around as we go to Detroit where Nate Lashley will be trying to retain the Rocket Mortgage Classic after his 6 shot victory last year. Bryson DeChambeau will be very confident after performing well in far better fields the last three weeks but it’s a brave man who will get involved at single figures. There are things about Brysons game that still aren’t quite right. There are a lot of names in this field seriously shorter than their form or talent merits. Donald Ross courses suit completely different styles than what we’ve seen in the last fortnight in Harbour Town and Connecticut. – – Kevin Na EW 40/1 – Tony Finau EW 33/1 – Brandt Snedeker EW 50/1 – Si Woo Kim EW 100/1 Betway 7 Places – Nate Lashley EW 150/1 – Prices with Hills 8 Places except Si...

Travellers Championship @LouisRoss67

Not exactly back with a bang last week. Total fail in fact but going forward Harbour Town is a course to bet in play. Sergio Garcia is a good example, I picked him up at 66/1 halfway through for some nice place money but I had been on the ball there was some 600/1 available a little earlier. On to this week and there are two players I love but find very difficult to separate. It’s another Pete Dye design but very different to last weekend. Par 4 scoring will be essential and after paying close attention to the final two rounds at Harbour Town, my plan was to back one of Justin Thomas or Brooks Koepka. Both played some spectacular golf particularly on Sunday but what threw me a little was JT being priced at a skinny 12/1 whilst Koepka is still available at 20s. It’s a no brainer for me to be on Brooks at that price. If he were to win here, I doubt you’ll see him offered at 20s again for some time. I have to get involved with both this week and I will back them up with a couple of value picks and one of my favourite bets, a make the cut acca. Good luck all – Justin Thomas WIN 12/1 various – Brooks Koepka EW 20/1 Hills 8 Places – Dustin Johnson...

It’s back. I wasn’t sure what to expect last week but it turns out golf without (American) fans is ok. I barely noticed. More golf without people shouting “mashed potatoes” can only be a good thing. Judging form after such a break is obviously impossible so I have gone with players who love a Pete Dye course and in my opinion are very over priced. Do not worry too much where we are over the weekend. This is a course where the winner has been anywhere from two to six shots back on the final day. There will surely be some great inplays on Sunday. Big prices here but all great value – – Matt Kuchar 45/1 Hills 8 Places – Bubba Wason 80/1 Bet365 6 Places – Graeme McDowell 150/1 Hills 8 Places – Russell Henley 150/1 Bet365 6 Places – Brian Harman 80/1 SkyBet 9 Places – – And a couple of First Round Leader darts – Kevin Kisner 66/1 Hills 6 Places – Luke List 90/1 Hills 6 Places – Russell Henley 125/1 Hills 6...
