The second Major of the year and this should be a good one. Make no mistake, Winged Foot is not your typical American course. Nobody is going 30 under here or anywhere close to it. I am hoping for what I would call a ‘proper’ US Open and that should hopefully involve a winning score over Par. The last time this course hosted, Geoff Ogily managed just 9 (yes NINE) Birdies on the way to a +5 victory. I hate the price but cannot get away from DJ this week. He’s played near perfect golf at times in the last month. Jason Day is an interesting one. He was magnificent in the PGA last month and this course should suit. I did tweet a tip for Matthew Wolff last month and a few managed to grab 100/1. He’s dropped a little in form since then but this guy is destined to win one of these, I’m convinced. Martin Kaymer has been in great form recently. Have to have him onside this week.
